Crockette Apple Brown Betty
4 slices of bread, cubed
1/2 c Butter, melted
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
3 tbls Brown sugar, firmly packed
2 c Cooking apples, peel and chop
Mix bread cubes with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and brown sugar.
Arrange in alternate layers with apples in crockette.
Cover and cook 2-3 hours or until apples are tender.
Serve warm with cream, hard sauce or ice cream.
